The Bible in History

The Bible from Koine Greek τὰ βιβλία, tà biblía, ‘the books’) is a collection of religious texts and scriptures in Christianity, Judaism and Samaritanism. The Good Book was originally written in Hebrew, Aramaic, and Koine Greek. These texts contain instructions, stories, poetry and prophecies. The Bible is a product of divine inspiration. The collection of materials that are accepted as part of the Bible by a particular religious tradition or community is called a biblical canon.

Christianity is an Abrahamic monotheistic religion rooted in the life and teachings of the Son of God Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Christianity is considered the largest religion in the world with approximately 2.5 billion followers. These people are identified as Christians. The religion believes that Jesus is the Son of God whose coming was prophesied in the Hebrew Bible or the Old Testament.
